About Cyclone
Cyclone is primarily a hard dance event playing all kinds of trance, techno through to hard house and hardcore. We also contain a sub brand named Cyclone House Sessions which simply involves all kinds of house music, from minimal to electro and progressive. As this is the case, we are able to provide either a house event, a hard dance event or a mixture of the two.
Cyclone originated as a regular event at the University of Surrey Students' Union Nightclub. We keep links with the students where the University's Dance Music Society still runs Cyclone events there, in a kind of franchise situation. This gives the student DJs the chance to be signed to a DJ agency and have the possibility to DJ at our events in London oand Ibiza.
Since the beginning of 2006 we changed Cyclone Entertainments to be a company which is no longer tied to running events solely at the University of Surrey, although the University's Dance Music Society still runs Cyclone nights there, under our supervision and guidance, for the student crowd.
In February 2006 we started working with Reece Elliot of WiLDCHiLD and
consequently hosted rooms at all big WiLDCHiLD events (around 3000 capacity venues) in 2006 and partnered them in their Ibiza holiday. This saw Cyclone's first landing on the island of Ibiza.
Over the years we have worked with such brands as Nukleuz, Frantic, Wildchild, Nu Religion, Riot!, Radical Escapes and Innovate to name but a few. We are also proud to have hosted one of the seven legs of the national Nukleuz Hard Dance Anthems CD Launch Tour with Rob Tissera back in 2004.
Cyclone has a five day a week radio show which broadcasts on the University of Surrey's radio station 1350AM GU2 Radio. This covers around a 10 mile radius of Guildford on AM (MW) and goes on FM for one month a year which covers all of Surrey. In 2007 we have secured a long term working partnership with the travel agent Radical Escapes. This gave us the opportunity to head back out to Ibiza in June with Heat UK which coincidently is the largest single group of clubbers to hit the island each year. Alongside this, Cyclone also partnered Goodgreef's Ibiza holiday in September. Cyclone is therefore officially not only a London dance music brand, but also an Ibizan one.
During our company expansion, we cannot forget the roots of some of our management, therefore we are in the process of starting our Cyclone Scotland Division with intent on running our usual hedonistic events in this country; being mainly Perthshire/Angus.
Along with this Scottish expansion, Cyclone is also growing to have a division in southern England. We are all very exited about this growth and also what it can mean for the promotion of each event across our UK network.
